Christmas in August? Calgary Event Planners to the rescue!

Christmas in August – It’s time to Start Planning Now!

Did you know that Calgary had more rain in July than all of 2015?

This affected many Calgary Stampede Eventsand I imagine weddings around the city and province – but they still took place.

The economic downturn in our city continues to affect business and the event planning industry is no exception. Many parties and Calgary Events in that would have been normally booked immediately after last year’s holiday season, are on hold as companies determine how or if they should move forward.

It’s understandable that it would be difficult for one to consider throwing a holiday event when they may have had to let some staff go – or simply trim budgets, I’m here to suggest this is actually the perfect market to engage event planner professionals to help you host your Calgary Corporate Holiday event in a fiscally responsible way – without looking like the office scrooge!

The silver lining

The current state of our economy has left many event-related spaces, Calgary Event Planners and vendors open when they would otherwise have been booked or had their hands full with the usual holiday craze. This means you still have lots of great options for booking a venue in late November / early December – even as late as August or early September.

The little black book

If you have worked with Calgary Event Planners you understand the  value we bring to the table and if you haven’t, this is a great time to discover  all of the extras we bring to the table.  Calgary event planners build their businesses and reputations on relationships.  This means that in tighter times, it’s easier for us to negotiate with our event partners on your behalf to ensure you receive the best event possible, even on limited budgets.

Collaboration

Recently I met with my very talented design team to talk through 2016 trends for a client who is hosting an event in December. It’s evident that despite the economy, holiday events are still happening.  By collaborating Calgary Event Planners can find ways to save our clients money – and still find a way to customize your brand and add some flare.

Eat Drink & Be Merry

Many Calgary event venues are operating at less than full capacity and want to fill event spaces throughout the holiday season. Given this situation, they may be willing to do more with less.  Finding ways to lock in events and find new customers is a sales person’s dream. Working with event professionals to ensure that the venue is the right fit for you and the menu can meet your attendees needs, is just one more way to leverage our knowledge during this tighter time.

Christmas in August!

At the end of the day, Calgary Event Planners understand that your event budgets are going to be lower this year. Having said that we know how to get the biggest bang for your buck. We might need to cut back across the board; however, limited budgets bring out the most creative solutions.

It’s not too late or too early to be thinking about Christmas in August. It’s actually the perfect time!
